A successful physician and researcher, Dr. Bach consistently sought to find a system of therapeutics that would address illness at its root cause. Observing his patients, he found that their physical illnesses were exacerbated by their mental and emotional states. Inspired by this, he dedicated himself to finding a system that would be safe and simple, without side effects. He located 38 flowering plants and trees that balanced specific negative emotions and formulated them into dilute homeopathic mixtures, which became known as the Bach Flower Essences.The essences can be used in combination to address the whole spectrum of states of mind. They are safe, non-toxic and do not interact with any other form of medical or complementary treatment. While the remedies help transform negative thoughts and behaviors into positive ones, they do not alter your personality, dissolve life's troubles or bring back your past lives. Instead, they bring you gently back to yourself so that you can continue learning from the life that you are living now. Fee: $70 per hour, in person or by telephone, which is pro-rated. The initial in-office consultation includes one bottle of flower essence combination. In-office and telephone consultations include two 5- to 10-minute follow-up telephone consultations.
