The significance of skin-
The seat of the soul
is where inner and outer world touch
It is at every point
where the two interact. ~ Novalis

Holistic Skin Care

Rhythm is the carrier of life. ~ Rudolf Steiner

Holistic skin care recognizes, and works with, the healing forces of nature. It embraces a philosophy of working in harmony with the natural functions and rhythms of the skin, and the person as a whole. Lifestyle, hygiene, nutrition and general health status are the factors considered in holistic skin care assessment and treatment.

Skin care preparations based on Anthroposophical principles and practices—biodynamic agriculture and rhythmic processing—are particularly effective in activating the skin's impulses to heal and regulate itself. The result is skin that radiates true vitality, reflecting a healthy dynamic from within. No products or treatments are used that suppress symptoms, take over the skin's functions or, most importantly, compromise the epidermal barrier function.

Inner Sanctum features Dr. Hauschka Skin Care and Weleda, with selections from Martina Gebhardt Naturkosmetik, Uriel Pharmacy, Starflower Essentials and locally produced de la Terre Skincare.

Anti-Aging and Beauty From Within

Happiness is the best face lift. ~ Joni Mitchell

Inner Sanctum Wellness Center offers well-aging support and treatments rather than anti-aging promises. Biodynamic, rhythmitized, holistic formulas promote and support healthy, glowing skin for the long term. Like our other vital organs, skin has an intelligence inherent to its design. Treating the skin like a superficial shell with one-sided approaches is ultimately not sustainable. It is a natural human desire to want to look our best and feel attractive at any age. To be alive and authentic in the present moment is a powerful cosmetic. Our society values youthful beauty, with the message that as we age, we become less attractive. By inference, even our value as human beings diminishes. Such messages are damaging to our collective self-worth. Our culture's limited definition of beauty is a powerful, negative force against which many women—and men—struggle. Allowing yourself to evolve rather than attempt to halt time is a self-honoring and wise choice.

.....there is a great struggle to stay young to the last minute. This means forgoing wisdom. The serenity that might bless a life that has been fully lived is not realized, with the result that fear hangs over people to the last.
~ Dr. Rudolf Hauschka, 1951
